Like a leaf we must wither
And soon fade away
But:
The only measure of your words and your deeds
Will be the love you leave behind when you’re done.
So much ❤️

In his pomp a much missed personality who was always generous in his encouragement of singers both old and new. So cruel that at the height of his powers he should suffer such a debilitating disease.

Dave and his late wife, Gill were like an uncle and aunt to me for well over 50 years. From my childhood, through looking after me through troubled times, and especially for supporting my Dad so well in his last illness. Dave was the most unfailingly kind and gentle man, and I shall miss him. Mine and my daughter Katherine's thoughts go with him, and to his family.
